Metrodata's partner in Oman has recently supplied units to Omantel for the testing and approval of Metrodata's FC1100 E1 short haul singlemode fibre modem. The FC1100 transports E1 over a fibre link with distances up to 30km. The FC1200 will extend this even further reaching distances up to 70km.
One unit is used at each end of the fibre link and provides a robust 2Mbps link between sites.
